Interfood Announces New Addition to Slicer Family
Interfood Slicing is proud to announce the arrival of the latest addition to the Weber slicer family, the 804.
The 804 builds on the innovative design concepts incorporated in the highly successful 904, the mid range 604 orbital slicer and the ground breaking 905 - the largest incline bed slicer in its class. This latest generation machine fits perfectly between these already market leading machines as a mid range involute blade slicer.
The 804, like all Weber slicers, forms the heart of a complete slicing solution tailored to customers’ exacting demands creating the optimum solution for line performance in all areas such as accuracy, consistency and reliability.
Equipped with involute blade technology, the 804 allows increased cutting speeds in a mid-range machine, complimenting the orbital system already employed in the closely related 604 which is better suited to more delicate natural or formed premium products.
Andre Clareboets, Sales Manager at Interfood Slicing, comments – “Fast and accurate reloading is a fundamental requirement in high speed slicing applications. The new 804 incorporates the latest generation of Weber central loading system, creating a true in-line operation that results in faster loading times, reduced disruption of natural irregular shaped products and the ability for the machine to “self optimise” when changing over between different sized raw materials. Coupled with the option of a product bed capable of accepting product lengths up to 1600mm, the 804 creates the perfect platform for line performance.”
The machine, although ideal for cooked meats and cheese, also fits perfectly within the UK and Irish bacon slicing market. Andre continues – “Anyone who appreciates the fine art of slicing will understand that slicers aren’t just slicers when it comes to different applications. Bacon is a key market and places its own specific demands on the slicer. Our machines have always been designed in a modular fashion and with the experience we have built up in the field, we have focussed on these key attributes during the final stages of development to ensure the 804 offers an exciting advancement in bacon slicing equipment – as always the devil is in the detail.”
Building on the base machine a variety of ancillary equipment can be employed to create the perfect solution. For natural and irregular products proven Weber scanner technology can be used in-line with the 804 to provide a proactive slicing solution, integrated with the Weber high speed check-weighing system confidence can be assured in relation to optimum accuracy, creating the lowest possible giveaway and high yields.
Andre comments – “Excellence is what the market is asking for – the opportunity to customise the slicing line to fit their specific requirements is key. Stacking, shingling, wafer thin, interleaving and even circular or customer specific designed portion shapes can be easily produced depending on the ancillary equipment selected. Downstream loading systems incorporating buffering, grouping, in-feeding and the Robotic Pick and Place solutions from the Weber range integrate perfectly with the 804 creating a complete solution from raw material to packaging machine.”
Andre concludes – “Interfood Slicing, a part of the Interfood Group, concentrates solely on slicing solutions, providing the highest level of customer focus and knowledge within the UK and Eire. Focus is placed heavily on customer service by providing the best support possible from our specialists and technicians. By offering training and optimisation systems, performance is consistently maintained as production needs change and evolve throughout the life of the equipment. With continued investment in this area, our highly skilled team, dedicated solely to supporting the Weber range of slicing equipment, will ensure that our customers have the back-up needed to fulfil the demands of their customers on an on-going basis.”
