Training

At Interfood we believe that it is not just a case of supplying machinery.  In addition to our specialist technicians ensuring that it is all delivered and commissioned to a specific schedule, we offer training programmes which enable the customer to get the most from their purchase.  Our team of engineers is on hand when required but with training courses designed to provide our customers own engineers with the necessary knowledge and experience to undertake general tasks, this ensures the machines can be kept operating at optimum efficiency.

Details of a typical training course are given below.  Please contact us if you have a training requirement.

CLIPPER TRAINING GETS THUMBS UP FROM ENGINEERS

Interfood Technology has demonstrated its ongoing commitment to ensuring that customers get the most from their food processing equipment with the latest in a series of successful training courses.

The subject for this course was the Poly-clip ICA, with the ICA 8700 automatic double clipper one of the most popular from the range of Poly-clip clippers for which Interfood is the sole distributor in the UK and Ireland.

The two day course, presented at Interfood’s Head Office in Thame, was led by Rolf Hillefeld, with nine engineers attending from several of Interfood’s major food processing customers, including Cranswick (Valley Park site), Tulip (Bodmin and Kings Lynn sites), Delico and Newsholme Foods.

Amongst the engineers was Tulip’s Alec Revel, who is responsible for the ICA clippers at the company’s Kings Lynn facility where they are a central part of the cooked meat process prior to slicing. He said of the training – “I’ve been shown the quickest ways to remove parts and identify faults….A great course. Rolf was an excellent instructor and the Interfood staff made us feel very welcome.”

Mark Bishop, Joint MD, of Interfood said –“We feel that the support we offer to our customers is one of the main things that marks us out from some other machinery suppliers. We believe very strongly that it is not about just supplying the equipment. In order to get the most out of it, the customer needs to understand the machine and its capabilities. We have a team of 16 engineers available to help when it is needed but we recognise that they won’t always be immediately to hand and that some of the issues can be dealt with by in-house engineers. Hence we organise these training courses, providing the customers’ own engineers with the information from the Interfood engineers who obviously know the machines inside out, and practical hands-on experience of working with the machines. This ensures a level of self-sufficiency to keep the equipment working at optimum efficiency.”
